Marisa Martinez Marquez is a failed musical theater artist who found her voice on the page instead of the stage. As a proud Filipina American she often creates strong Asian female identifying characters of color. She spent almost two decades in New York City as an actor and playwright before moving to London, where she created the series Mind the Gap, then Los Angeles to pursue TV writing. The next obvious move was to Portland, Oregon where she continues to bang keys, embracing her obsession with the paranormal while swaddled by the great Pacific Northwest.
